About the Role

Work alongside the Department Manager to deliver standout service and operational excellence, reflecting Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience. Build a high-performing department through collaborative leadership, hands-on coaching, and daily team engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service.
  • Work closely with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and achieve stated goals.
  • Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition.
  • Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, and provide feedback.
  • Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising, adequate staffing, and department cleanliness.
  • Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions.
  • Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
  • Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business.
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment by effectively managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Clear, professional communication style.
  • Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems.
  • Prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs.
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on setting involving extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
  • Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English.
