About the Role
Seeking Shuttle Drivers for Upstate Medical University Shuttle Service in Syracuse, NY. This role involves transporting hospital employees to and from parking areas on local, steady routes.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patrons politely and assisting them.
- Safely shuttling customers to various destinations.
- Opening and closing doors for patrons.
- Adhering to all traffic laws and signs for safe shuttle operation.
- Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers, including radio contact.
- Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet safety requirements.
- Recording passenger counts and trip times.
- Completing necessary paperwork for daily operations.
- Assisting in equipment set up and break down (e.g., signs, cones).
- Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness.
- Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management.
- Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations.
Requirements
- Must be over 20 years old.
- Customer service experience is a must.
- A valid NY Class B or higher CDL with passenger endorsement is required.
- A valid medical card is required.
- Background checks and driving test will be conducted.
- Must be available mornings and/or evenings.
- Flexibility on scheduling is needed, especially early on.
- Will not work for someone currently employed as a FT school bus driver.
