About the Role
St. John's Riverside Hospital is seeking a dedicated professional to provide clinical and therapeutic services within a governmental correctional facility. This role involves maintaining clinical records, providing comprehensive treatment services, and collaborating with internal and external resources to ensure optimal patient care and facilitate payment for services.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain DOC clearance for jail-based positions.
- Participate in the daily operation of the program through clinical and therapeutic activities.
- Maintain clinical records in compliance with regulatory bodies and hospital policies.
- Provide assessment, case management, intervention, orientation, treatment planning, individual/group treatment services, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with internal staff and external community resources for client treatment and relationship building.
- Ensure payment for treatment services by insurance/managed care companies, including Medicaid/Medicare.
- Prepare reports, maintain statistical data, and attend meetings as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of substance use disorder treatment service experience, OR two years of experience as a social worker, OR two years of experience as a mental health counselor.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a health-care setting.
- Social workers must have a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school and LMSW/LCSW or LMHC.
- Mental Health Counselors must have a Master's or Doctoral degree in mental health counseling from an accredited school.
- CASAC and/or other QHP preferred, unless required to meet regulatory staffing ratios.
- Ability to recognize problems, approach them objectively, reach appropriate solutions, implement them, and evaluate effectiveness.
