About the Role

Mechanics are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all mechanical aspects of the BHS and PBB, ensuring efficient, safe operation. They must be able to work autonomously or with a crew, proficiently replacing mechanical devices and structural components. Familiarity with 3-phase 480v connections is required, with responsibility limited to voltages below 120v, and single-phase 110v under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain superior customer service and safe working practices at all times.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment, including motors, electrical circuits, SICK ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Communicate work performed and system status to various parties.
  • Analyze root causes of electrical failures, propose remedies, and continuously monitor for system optimization.
  • Interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Respond to call-outs for service calls (CM, PM, EM).
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including inspection, adjustment, cleaning, and replacement, and prepare follow-up work orders if needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule for a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Background check and drug screen required.
  • Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge.
  • Experience in an industrial environment or minimum 1 year experience as a maintenance mechanic.
  • Proven experience as a Welder with relevant work experience.
