About the Role

Support Employee Benefits Account Executives in coordinating projects and interfacing with clients and carriers to ensure exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting with daily client management, account maintenance, issue resolution, and preparation of various client-facing documents and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Account Executive staff with daily client management issues.
  • Perform account maintenance including updates to client files, scanning and attachment of plan documents, and Benefit Point.
  • Assist in the resolution of common account issues, including claim, policy, eligibility, and service issues.
  • Request, track, and upload Schedule A’s for client 5500 filings.
  • Prepare Annual Notice packets for clients.
  • Learn benefit and census gathering/sorting for marketing, stewardship, persona, and smart view reports.
  • Assist with marketing proposals, paperwork, and presentation preparation.
  • Revise/edit and bind presentation materials as needed.
  • Prepare open enrollment materials, including C&D benefit guides, benefit spot mobile app, presentations, and obtaining carrier collaterals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers and clients.
  • Maintain Benefit Portals such as TouchCare and Employee Navigator.
  • Assist clients and Account Executives utilizing MyWave.
  • Perform other administrative functions as needed by Account Executive staff.
  • Take personal accountability for contributions to organizational results.
  • Act with an appropriate sense of urgency to achieve results.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of key business strategies.

  • Improve quality, processes, and productivity, and ensure an appropriate control environment.
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity for process improvement/organization effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Contribute to divisional success through active participation in assigned projects and committees and/or by delivering feedback into the organization.
  • Actively engage in process improvement projects that benefit HUB International Northeast.
  • Appropriately adhere to required use of HUB systems and ensure data quality contained within.
  • Ensure compliance with all operating controls as spelled out in the HUB Quality Control Procedure Manual.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an Employee Benefits insurance environment (preferred, not required).
  • Obtain your Life & Health License after a pre-determined amount of time employed by HUB.
  • Basic analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate – Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, MicroSoft.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Accurate and high attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • While learning and performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time (ie seminars, meetings, etc.); the employee must be able to possibly, occasionally, lift and/or move up to 5 pounds (office supplies and paper) and assist in the clean-up/straightening of Conference Room prior to or after EB meetings.
