About the Role
We seek a dedicated Medical Office Administrator (MOA) to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves managing daily clinic operations, promoting a range of specialized services, and contributing to the clinic's growth. The MOA serves as the first point of contact for the clinic, providing essential support and fostering team unity.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage appointments, phone calls, and patient inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain patient records, ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to privacy policies.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing paperwork and processing medical records.
- Provide information to patients about clinic services, policies, and procedures.
- Process billing and insurance claims accurately and handle financial transactions with discretion.
- Operate independently, proficiently managing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and administrative tasks.
- Engage in team-building and goal-setting activities to contribute to a positive work environment and achieve clinic objectives.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in MOA or Bachelor's Degree in healthcare management or any management Degree
- Additional vocational training or certification in medicine is preferred
- 3+ years as a Medical Office Administrator
- Proficient in medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Detail-oriented, especially in managing patient information and billing.
- Competent in basic computer applications for administrative duties.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
- Committed to excellent customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Knowledgeable about patient privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA) and ethical healthcare practices.
