About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of group entities within a growing commercial real estate business. You will work closely with an experienced Finance team, with the autonomy to influence processes and improve financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone who understands financial performance drivers and can translate financial information into commercial insights.
Responsibilities
- Own the quarterly management accounts process across your portfolio, including P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations, billing, accruals, prepayments, intercompany and variance analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting.
- Support statutory accounts and audit.
- Work closely with operational teams across the business.
- Improve processes and automate where possible.
Requirements
- Ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified with a clear completion path, or qualified by experience.
- 2–3 years’ experience preparing management accounts end-to-end, ideally across multiple entities.
- Experience working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial or growing organisation.
- Ability to take ownership and adapt to change.
- Demonstrable experience of year-end statutory reporting.
- Experience working directly with external auditors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent reporting deadlines across several entities without compromising accuracy.
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and the ability to work with large data extracts.
- Ability to write clear commentary and explain financial results to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, combined with a commercial and curious approach to understanding the numbers and what drives performance.
