About the Role
Axon 911 combines Prepared and Carbyne to create a platform integrating modern 911 infrastructure with an AI intelligence layer, aiming to improve public safety response times and decision-making. This role is crucial in shaping the future of emergency response and building a safer, more connected world.
Responsibilities
- Work on a small team building high-performance, mission-critical devices with low-latency communication requirements.
- Develop embedded networking firmware for Linux- and Android-based platforms.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience with Embedded Android and/or Embedded Linux development.
- Solid programming experience with C/C++ and/or Rust.
- Hands-on expertise in real-time media architecture with demonstrated success hitting strict latency budgets.
- Experience with QoS frameworks and media signaling.
- Systems-level edge development experience building software for rugged, resource-constrained embedded devices.
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and ambiguity in an early-stage, new product environment.
