About the Role

The Lanesborough is seeking an Assistant Head Butler to join their esteemed Butlers Team. This role involves leading the team in managing guest amenities, facilities, and requirements within guest rooms and suites, ensuring a memorable and professional guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Butlers team, responsible for all amenities, facilities, and guests requirements within the guest room or suite.
• Be attentive and respond swiftly to guest requirements, ensuring genuine recognition and anticipating guests' needs.
• Coordinate in preparation for the guests' stay by communicating to relevant departments.
• Uphold an extensive guest's history using Opera system and the Butler private log.
• Delegate tasks and conduct team briefings and training sessions.
• Maintain superior guest contact to build rapport, handle guest requests and manage complaints.
• Greet VIP guests upon arrival, explain in-room and hotel facilities according to Butler Standards.
• Spot check rooms for amenities, requests, cleanliness, and general engineering issues.
• Ensure the compliance and implementation of all Health & Safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within a 5-star establishment is essential.
• Experience in the luxury market is preferred.
• Extensive Food & Beverage knowledge is required.
• Ability to delegate tasks and conduct team briefings and training sessions.
• Proven track record of leadership, guest experience, and team management.
• Flexibility to work a 24-hour roster when required.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• A second language is preferred.
• Ability to maintain superior guest contact to build rapport, handle guest requests and manage complaints.
• Exceptional problem-solving, innovation, and communication talents.
• Strong administration, time management, and organizational skills.
• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
