Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with peers to assure smooth operation of the network infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with network equipment and software.
  • Assess and address vulnerabilities regarding network equipment with vendor-recommended solutions.
  • Provide high-quality internal and external customer service surrounding the company values.
  • Implement and support LAN, WAN, Switching/Routing, and load balancing data center infrastructure including Cisco ACI and Netscaler load balancer.
  • Ensure all network infrastructure engineering patterns are appropriately designed to meet SLA requirements.
  • Write and review change requests as part of the change management process.
  • Monitor system performance and implement performance optimization.
  • Participate in documentation processes including network diagrams, staff contacts, vendor contacts, and utilization of monitoring/resource/inventory management tools.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop standards in line with company guidelines and monitor those standards.
  • Assist with the resolution of escalated issues and actively participate in problem management activities.
  • Participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure 24x7x365 coverage for critical core and customer infrastructure.
  • Overtime in the event of emergencies is required.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Networking or Technology.
  • 5 years of experience in an IP-based environment.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware, software, LAN/WAN, and data center infrastructures and connectivity.
  • Good understanding of the TCP/IP protocol, specifically relating to the routing of IP packets (BGP, EIGRP, MPLS).
  • Medium level knowledge of network administration, architecture, and engineering in mission-critical environments.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • No Canadian work experience required.

Salary/Compensations

  • 101,800 - 124,400
  • Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance): 12%
