About the Role

INC Architecture and Design is seeking an Architectural Designer to join their team in New York City. This role involves BIM modeling, design collaboration, schematic planning, rendering, presentation development, product research, code compliance, and contract documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform BIM modeling using Revit, SketchUp, and Rhino.
• Create 2D/3D models and understand their relationship to the real world.
• Produce images to convey project mood and design intentions.
• Manage software elements and their presentation.
• Exercise independent judgment in design techniques and criteria.
• Interpret ideas through 3D models, digital visualization, and reference images.
• Participate in internal design meetings and refine ideas through iterations.
• Contribute personal design knowledge to discussions.
• Coordinate with engineering consultants, clients, and other parties on design issues.
• Develop optimized plan layouts considering program requirements and spatial demands.
• Produce 2D images or 3D walkthroughs using Enscape and Photoshop.
• Tailor presentation methods to convey design intentions.
• Select products and finishes for projects.
• Ensure design compliance with NYC building codes.
• Produce documents for building project filing and construction using Revit.
• Gain experience in Architects of Record (AOR) projects, preferably ground-up buildings.
• Understand the process from design development through construction documentation and filing.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience as an Architectural Designer or in an Architecture/Interior Design Internship.
• Professional Revit experience.
• Experience in high-end residential or hospitality projects.
• Proficiency in rendering techniques.
• Clearly identify where AI tools were used in the application and share the process.
• Submit a cover letter, resume, an example of Revit work, and a link to a PDF portfolio/website.
