About the Role

InCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Technician III to support customer service needs, focusing on installation, service, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure, EV charging devices, solar, and battery devices. The role involves significant regional travel and emphasizes timely, customer-centered delivery while maintaining safety standards and high-quality field work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate understanding of NEC and local regulations.
  • Perform accurate calculations for circuits, panels, and service loads.
  • Install breakers, label circuits, and understand load balancing greater than 600 amps.
  • Install emergency drivers, contactors, time clocks, and troubleshoot EMS systems.
  • Perform infield installation of civil and electrical infrastructure, including running conduit and wire, trenching, and associated civil work.
  • Wire buildings and electrical systems (commercial, industrial), installing lighting, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and panels.
  • Set up electrical equipment, transformers, and generators.
  • Support multi-person work assignments and EPC-related field activities through hands-on assistance with installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, repair or replace faulty wiring, fixtures, or equipment.
  • Perform outline inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Retrofit older systems to meet current standards, upgrade panels or service capacity, and install energy-efficient systems.
  • Assist in the coordination of third-party vendors for installations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting, testing, and maintaining EV charging systems and electrical infrastructure.
  • Install, commission, service, and support all EV Charging systems (AC and DC) for which the technician is certified.
  • Perform bolt-downs and infrastructure-related field work to support site installations and upgrades.
  • Perform installation, commissioning, service, and support for Solar and battery systems and infrastructure for which the technician is certified.
  • Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical charging infrastructure using various diagnostic and electrical tools.
  • Measure charging infrastructure performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project, Work Order, and Job documentation in Procore, Salesforce, and other systems.
  • Follow all safety standards, site requirements, and company procedures.
  • Participate in training programs to build technical competency.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete work efficiently.
  • Shadow and assist lower-tier technicians to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Represent the company at client locations with professional conduct.
  • Attend conferences and training as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
  • Permit and code compliance knowledge.
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 Card required or ability to obtain in 120 days of hire.
  • ECAP certification or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
  • Adaptable to the changing dynamics of start-up business strategy.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and able to operate independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to Travel 50% - 75%.
