About the Role

Ensuring smooth operations of all systems in retail stores with guidance and direction from SME when on site for smart hands.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up new POS equipment, ensuring proper integration, and performing routine maintenance.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues related to POS hardware and software.
  • Applying software updates, installing new features, and ensuring compatibility.
  • Providing technical assistance to store staff and customers.
  • Managing and maintaining an updated stock or spare parts for repairs and maintenance.
  • Working with store management and IT teams to prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Acting as Smart Hands for other support groups when on site.
  • Conducting health checks at assigned store locations.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience in a retail support environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and basic business applications.
  • Strong Customer Support Skills.
  • Basic knowledge of networks, telecom, and servers.
  • Hands-on knowledge of MacOS & iOS devices.
  • A+, MCP, MCSE or equivalent certification desired.
  • Subject to a post-offer Background Verification.

  • POS hardware and software (cash registers, scanners, printers, credit card processing systems).
  • Technical issue identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Customer interaction for polite, efficient, and responsive service.
  • Proactive solution-driven approach.
  • Interpersonal skills for communicating technical items to support teams and end-users.
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis.
