About the Role
The Syracuse City School District is seeking a dedicated Modified Football Assistant Coach for Corcoran High School for the Fall 2026 season. This role is part of a district-wide initiative to innovate and transform education, ensuring all students graduate ready for college and career.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a coach for student athletes in grades 7-12.
- Emphasize discipline, enjoyment of play, competition, and the value of hard work.
- Prepare young student athletes for higher levels of competition.
- Stress the development of academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship at the high school level.
Requirements
- New York State Coaching Certification.
- Valid First Aid course.
- Valid Adult CPR certification.
- Workshop - Child Abuse Identification.
- Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention.
- Workshop - Dignity For All Students Act (DASA).
- Fingerprint Clearance.
- School District Recommendation.
- Pass a fingerprint-based background check ($102.50 cost to candidate).
