About the Role
As a registered paediatric nurse, you will be providing high-quality, person-centered care to clients in their own homes. This role involves supporting a 5-year-old female client with complex care needs including Severe Neonatal Encephalopathy, HIE grade 4, epilepsy, and chronic lung disease.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care
- Assist with moving and handling
- Support with clinical interventions specific to the client
- Administer medications
- Manage clinical interventions including ventilation via mask, humidification, deep suctioning, oxygen therapy, chest physio, administration of nebulisers via ventilation, and care/use of dual port PEG/JEJ
- Enrich client's quality of life via community interaction and support in achieving goals/aspirations
Requirements
- 6 months nursing experience within the last 2 years (UK based)
- Actively registered on the NMC
- Experience with personal care, medication, and manual handling
- Comfortable working in a 1:1 setting
- Willing to learn new skills and undertake complex care training
- Ability to provide high-quality care with compassion and professionalism
