About the Role
This role involves acting as a working supervisor for cleaning staff, performing cleaning duties in all areas of the premises, and assisting reception with incidental cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks independently as trained.
- Arrange for cover during absences.
- Report material and consumable needs 7 working days in advance to prevent stockouts.
- Mentor cleaning staff and ensure high standards of work and conduct.
- Understand and adhere to Health & Safety requirements for personal and others' safety.
- Maintain punctuality with fixed working hours.
- Undertake cleaning duties in areas as directed by the Site Manager.
- Immediately report maintenance issues, including broken equipment, defective lighting, and H&S concerns.
- Inform the Site Manager about ordering and maintaining cleaning equipment stock.
- Clean and maintain all site areas, including surfaces, vacuuming, dusting, and external sweeping/mopping.
- Understand and comply with all COSHH regulations.
- Work within relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Attend identified and agreed training courses for development.
- Collect all waste and transport it to the designated storage area.
- Assist with other cleaning tasks as required, collaborating with the cleaning team.
- Cover extended shifts for absent colleagues (sick, on holiday).
- Complete the supervisor's daily check sheet.
