About the Role
Our Customer Care Center is the first line of customer communication for incoming calls on the 1-800-Carrier line, serving North America. We assist end users of our HVAC equipment brands (residential homeowners) and Carrier brand dealers seeking parts or technical support.
Responsibilities
- Provide satisfactory and quality customer service under immediate supervision.
- Assist with basic customer inquiries on product availability, maintenance, and order status.
- Resolve basic customer service or billing complaints.
- Maintain records of customer interactions, including details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.
- Refer dealers to appropriate resources for sales or service.
- Connect homeowners with dealers through warm transfers.
- Provide customers with warranty information.
- Assist with product comparisons.
- Act as a switchboard, referring customers to the appropriate department using a database.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6+ months of experience handling inbound calls in a call center environment.
- Dependability.
- Punctuality and completion of shifts.
- Adherence to assigned break and lunch schedules.
Skills
- Above average verbal and written communication skills.
