About the Role
HealthPro Heritage has a great Full-time Speech Language Pathologist or CFY opportunity at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Scotia, NY. This role involves working with a dedicated interdisciplinary team focused on delivering compassionate and high-quality care to residents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
- Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
- Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
- Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Skills
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
