About the Role

As an Industrial Relations Business Partner at easyJet, you will play a pivotal role in mobilizing, organizing, and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders. Your exceptional relationship and communication skills will be essential in navigating complexities with work group representatives across the network, embracing cultural differences, and building a collaborative environment that influences organizational culture.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in industrial relations, ensuring positive and progressive relationships with union and works council partners.
  • Lead negotiations on industrial agreements within specific jurisdictions, preparing key stakeholders for engagement while adhering to mandating processes and strategic objectives.
  • Advise people managers and Country Leadership teams on industrial relations matters.
  • Integrate the local and national IR agenda into people plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Analyze local and national IR data to identify insights and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of industrial relations practices.

Requirements

  • Be a business-focused IR specialist with a strong commercial mindset, capable of balancing cost, quality, and fairness.
  • Possess a delivery-focused, can-do attitude and demonstrate creative thinking.
  • Have extensive IR experience, including regular negotiations with trade unions and works councils across Europe.
  • Be adept at framing legal and negotiated IR issues into practical implications for easyJet.
  • Excel in change management within a dynamic, fast-paced European environment, emphasizing delivery, cooperation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Be able to draw insights from data, providing persuasive challenges to drive change and improvement.
  • Influence, challenge, and build trust at senior levels to facilitate cross-functional decision-making.
  • Possess strong project management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate sensitive people skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Be able to work under pressure, challenge appropriately, and demonstrate presence and credibility.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Be willing to travel as required.
