About the Role
Researches, develops, and implements recreation and leisure programs for the tribal community in collaboration with the Recreation & Community Services Program Manager.
Requirements
- Demonstrated interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated understanding of group dynamics and conflict resolution
- Ability to work with various age groups including children and elders
- First Aid and CPR certifications required (will train)
- Successful candidate may be required to pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe’s Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy (Policy #80)
- Must be able to physically participate in athletic activities and leisure trips
- Must be able to occasionally work a flexible schedule

Education Level
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and higher education in the field of childhood education, recreation or similar field of study
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and experience with helping to plan, develop and manage recreation or leisure programs
