About the Role
This senior commercial role involves owning a portfolio of client accounts within the Software Publishers Services line of business, focusing on revenue, growth, and quality outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to shape the business by driving new services, influencing publisher-customer engagement, and building commercial credibility.
Responsibilities
- Full commercial authority across client portfolio, owning commitments on timelines, fees, and scope.
- Drive account-level growth and revenue extraction from existing contracts.
- Identify and convert upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Pursue net-new client acquisition through professional network and market presence.
- Maintain periodic senior-level touchpoints with clients, acting as the firm's senior face.
- Build and deepen relationships that generate long-term account value.
- Ultimately accountable for the quality standard clients experience.
- Hold delivery teams accountable for the quality of every deliverable.
- Champion and reinforce the firm's delivery standards within accounts.
- Final accountability on escalation decisions within client portfolio.
- Receive structured reporting on all active engagements across portfolio.
- Retain final say on staffing decisions for accounts.
- Help drive the firm’s publisher advisory services beyond traditional software license compliance.
- Use client relationships as a proving ground for advisory-led engagements.
- Champion the shift from reactive compliance work to proactive advisory.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to build the firm’s advisory capability.
- Lead net-new client acquisition in the software license compliance space.
- Contribute to the firm's market positioning and thought leadership in software compliance and advisory.
Requirements
- Significant experience in software license compliance, software asset management, or software advisory services.
- Proven track record of owning and growing a client portfolio in a professional services or advisory environment.
- Experience leading delivery teams in a matrix structure.
- Understanding of major software vendors' licensing programmes (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, or similar).
- International delivery experience preferred.
- Commercially driven with a focus on revenue, margin, and account growth.
- Confident delegator who trusts capable people to execute.
- Collaborative, working effectively with peers and support functions.
- Decisive, making commercial decisions clearly and owning the consequences.
- Growth-oriented, actively pursuing new business.
- Quality-conscious, holding a high standard for client deliverables.
