About the Role
The Electrical Engineer provides electrical engineering expertise to support manufacturing operations, process improvements, equipment development, automation initiatives, and capital projects. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical systems to enhance safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and cost performance. Additionally, the engineer will write and validate code and utilize machine software to prepare CNC fabrication equipment for production.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Write code for CNC machining processes.
- Operate nesting software for laser cutting process.
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, including scope definition, equipment specification, installation, startup, and validation.
- Support PLC, HMI, robotics, motion control, and data acquisition systems.
- Develop and maintain electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase reliability, quality, and operating efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and project teams to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions for manufacturing applications.
Requirements
- Experience with industrial electrical systems, controls, automation, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, instrumentation, motor controls, power distribution, and industrial networking preferred.

Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar design software.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent automation platforms.
- Experience with JETCAM, Mastercam, PolyWorks, G-code
- Excellent communication and technical documentation abilities.
