About the Role
We are building a small, highly skilled, AI-first data team to answer increasingly complex and valuable business questions. You will join as a Senior Analyst, reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics Engineering, and will be the go-to person for the business's most interesting analytical challenges, primarily focusing on product and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Owning the analysis that shapes product and marketing decisions, including channel performance, acquisition cost, conversion, and customer retention.
- Analyzing marketing attribution models by blending click-level data with modeled credit for untracked bookings.
- Building and deploying intermediate dbt models to support independent analysis.
- Managing experiment analysis from design to conclusion, ensuring proper sizing, honest interpretation, and clear communication of findings.
- Developing user-friendly reports in Hex and enabling self-serve analytics for straightforward questions.
- Defining and documenting key business metrics to ensure consistent understanding across the company.
- Utilizing AI tools in daily work and contributing to the operational strategy of an AI-first data team.
Requirements
- Strong SQL and production experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred, BigQuery or Redshift acceptable).
- Solid dbt experience, including incremental models, tests, macros, and project structuring.
- Consistent data instrumentation and collection for web tracking, with hands-on Segment experience.
- Proficient Python for ingestion, orchestration, and service code development.
- Experience with modern orchestrators (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect) including operational aspects.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and cloud fundamentals (AWS with CDK or Terraform ideal).
- Self-directed, able to flag problems early, and focused on accuracy over speed.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills for managing multiple concurrent tasks.
- Deep comfort and experience working natively with AI tools.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote team, demonstrating organization and self-motivation.
