About the Role
The Planning Executive role at OpenDoor, WPP's bespoke global operating model for Amazon, supports the mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence, and best-in-class service for Amazon across its diverse businesses.
Responsibilities
- Develop a baseline of media planning knowledge across channels.
- Learn about DE+I planning and carbon conscious media.
- Learn and use media systems and tools including TGI, Pathmatics, AdIntel, Open AI.
- Run and analyze reports including competitive and audience insights.
- Build knowledge by staying on top of the latest trends and news impacting the media industry.
- Learn the fundamentals of effective campaign management including updating schematics, providing media plans to clients, and chasing creative.
- Assist with financial processes such as PO trackers, bookings, reconciliations, and queries.
- Work closely with activation teams to deliver responses and tactical plans.
- Update internal and external status reports.
- Coordinate regular meetings with the client and creative agency and collate documents for those meetings.
- Work with your line manager to align objectives and goals with your role and agency vision.
Requirements
- Have a basic understanding and competence in MS Office – PowerPoint and Excel in particular.
- Develop an awareness and curiosity about the media and marketing industry, including trends, challenges, or concepts.
- Research the wider industry and show an ability to summarize information into findings to be shared.
- Develop a broad understanding of industry tools, technology, techniques, and systems, as well as their application (e.g., TGI, Adintel, Pathmatics).
- Can run simple tasks independently and either present to clients directly or package for the wider team.
- Demonstrates curiosity by asking questions around communication frameworks, plans, approaches, trends, and innovations.
- Demonstrates willingness to input into new projects and ideation sessions.
- Assists in the development of communications frameworks and cross-media strategy.
- Supports with data reporting, audience intelligence, and production of client-facing presentations (e.g., competitors).
- Has basic understanding of media channel dynamics and can discuss how each channel might add to the overall plan.
- Requires individuals to have the right to work in the UK.
