About the Role
This role is for a Section Manager-level leader responsible for the overall design and development of high-speed interface subsystems within automotive SoCs (R-Car series). The position requires leadership in both organizational management and technical decision-making, contributing to the strengthening of future development capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire design and development of high-speed interface subsystems for automotive SoCs (R-Car series) as a Section Manager-level leader.
- Take responsibility for organizational management and technical decision-making, leading development efforts.
- Formulate specification and architecture policies for high-speed interface subsystems, including PCIe, UCIe, USB, and UFS.
- Ensure quality through design reviews and technical judgments.
- Make priority decisions and final determinations for subsystems, considering performance, power consumption, quality, schedule, and resource constraints.
- Collaborate with SoC architects, other subsystem managers, and project management to promote overall SoC optimization through cross-departmental coordination.
- Lead the resolution of critical technical and organizational issues arising during the design and verification phases.
- Engage in technical negotiations, specification adjustments, and issue resolution with IP vendors.
- Manage global development teams across Japan, India, and Vietnam, focusing on role design, talent development, and organizational strengthening.
Requirements
- Technical lead experience at the subsystem or IP level (e.g., leading design reviews, making technical decisions, formulating design policies).
- Experience coordinating multiple engineers and related teams to consolidate technology and development.
- Comfortable with technical discussions and coordination in English, or working with global teams.
- Business-level Japanese proficiency.
