About the Role
Manage and monitor relationships, contracts, and risks across markets to ensure the effective commissioning and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services and solutions that deliver positive outcomes for Waltham Forest residents. This includes monitoring Adult Social Care supplier performance and contractual standards to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, safe services are delivered with positive outcomes. Contract performance and monitoring visits will be both planned and unplanned and may be coordinated with other system partners. Ensure performance frameworks are maintained, robustly monitored, and reports are written to reflect monitoring visits, identifying areas for improvement and risk, while keeping system partners informed.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- Receive, review, and respond to queries and complaints within the area of responsibility.
- Resolve issues appropriately or escalate as required.
- Provide effective contract management, including performance, quality, and audits.
- Undertake visits and scheduled contract monitoring meetings.
- Be responsible for setting agendas, minuting, and sharing information with other commissioning staff.
- Update records.
- Ensure robust contract monitoring with all scheduled meetings completed on time with agendas circulated in advance.
- Ensure quality assurance is evidenced through provider visits, monitoring, performance frameworks, and audits.
- Document and share findings promptly and update relevant frameworks.
- Maintain accurate records with minutes produced and distributed within agreed timescales.
- Track and close actions.
- Share key performance and quality data with contracts and commissioning colleagues to inform decisions.
- Monitor compliance against KPIs and quality standards.
- Escalate and resolve non-compliance.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience.
- Relevant professional qualification (desirable).
- Satisfactory employment references and CIFAS identity checks.
- Satisfactory declaration of interest.
- Role is subject to safer recruitment practices as it involves work with children and/or vulnerable adults.
- Must be able to speak fluent English, with confidence and accuracy, sufficient for the effective performance of the role.
- Must already hold a form of UK work authorization that does not require sponsorship.
