About the Role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking Hospital Cleaning Supervisors to join their Environmental Services team. This role supports the leadership and management of the Environmental Services Operations within a new, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the team and ensure department compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., CQC, joint commission, cleaning accreditations).
  • Recruit and supervise the team, including absence management, appraisals, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure all team members have a performance management plan.
  • Facilitate smooth operational procedures through timely communication with direct reports and caregivers.
  • Maintain regular communication with all departments and stakeholders.
  • Arrange training to ensure compliance with the highest standards.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports for continuous development and support.
  • Support departmental projects across four Cleveland Clinic locations.
  • Commit to the continual implementation, monitoring, and improvement of Health and Safety, high standards, and patient care.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety (COSHH) documentation is completed promptly.

Requirements

  • Supervisor experience in a related field (essential).
  • Previous environmental services or housekeeping experience (essential).
  • Previous experience working in healthcare (highly preferred).
  • Strong customer service skills (essential).
  • Strong technological skills required for day-to-day duties, including Excel, Words, Visio, Microsoft Teams, Kronos, Workday, and Epic (essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential).
  • Role may be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

  • Starting Salary: £31,000. After probation rising to: £33,500
