About the Role
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer (m/w/d) VELYS Robotics to support our VRAS (VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution) within the greater Berlin area (Berlin, Magdeburg, Leipzig, Dresden) / Eastern Germany. This is a permanent field service role focused on commissioning robotic systems, performing planned and corrective maintenance, and integrating new robots to build long-term customer relationships and maximize equipment availability.
Responsibilities
- Commissioning new robotic systems in hospitals
- Corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to minimize downtime
- On-site service and regular maintenance of robotic systems
- Coordinate with customers and service coordinators for planning and executing preventive and corrective actions, and service bulletins
- Act as an administrative and technical interface with the customer to maintain the relationship
- Utilize diagnostic software and provide feedback to product/engineering
- Participate in regional congresses and workshops on medical devices
- Independently manage calendar and travel planning to ensure customer satisfaction
- Support service contract renewal in collaboration with sales
- Collaborate with sales to identify leads and relay customer satisfaction issues
- Manage and control field inventory, tools, testing equipment, technical documentation, and assigned devices
- Complete and document assigned work orders; maintain customer contacts
Requirements
- Completed electrical engineering apprenticeship, technical degree, or comparable qualification
- Experience with medical devices/robotics is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of electrical testing requirements
- Familiarity with hospital workflows, organizational structure, and relevant contacts is advantageous
- Fluent German and good English skills (written and spoken)
- Car driver's license
- High flexibility and approximately 80% willingness to travel within the region
- Willingness to work in emergencies

Salary/Compensations
- 53,781.00 EUR annually (Entgeltgruppe E 10 of the collective agreement for the chemical industry in Hamburg)
- Paid in 13 monthly installments
- Annual bonus with a fixed target (or sales commissions for sales roles)
