About the Role

it's electric is a promising climate start-up focused on public charging solutions for electric vehicles. This role involves planning and executing the company's unique model of curbside charging infrastructure, covering design, permitting, and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design, permitting, and construction of charging infrastructure deployments.
• Support deployments across broader project areas as needed.
• Lead and advance projects with city officials and stakeholders.
• Manage the activities of company consultants and contractors.
• Conduct site visits and attend meetings with permitting agencies and contractors.
• Support utility signoffs and coordination.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
• Manage permitting, technical aspects, and project schedules.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of project tracking and documentation tools.

Requirements

• Background and expertise in architecture, urban planning, or related fields.
• Examples of urban design and build projects that have been physically built and are in use.
• Comfortable using digital design and drawing tools (e.g., Illustrator, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with building codes, zoning requirements, and urban design standards.
• Experience working with trades and contractors during construction and sign-off phases.
• Highly organized and able to work with a high degree of autonomy, clarity, and precision.
• Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain productive, positive, and long-term relationships with stakeholders.
