About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and driven lawyer to join an eight-person team responsible for global fund legal matters across various strategies. The role involves primary responsibility for structuring, negotiating, and closing investors into CLOs, open-ended liquid credit funds, and similar vehicles, with opportunities to contribute to other fund initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Advise on CLO formations in conjunction with internal tax and external counsel.
- Lead on CLOs, liquid credit funds, and related mandates.
- Support senior team members on other matters.
- Manage external counsel and key documentation delivery, including offering circulars, trust deeds, collateral management agreements, and prospectuses.
- Lead negotiations for side letters and investor closings during fundraises.
- Contribute to product approval processes and draft PPMs.
- Serve as an internal point of contact for Marketing & Client Relations staff and portfolio managers.
- Act as a general point of contact for inbound questions on specific strategies from across the firm.
- Collaborate closely with the Fund Operations team to ensure overlapping matters are captured.
- Become a trusted contact and advisor for internal teams.
Requirements
- Qualified structured finance lawyer with at least 5 years' PQE.
- Post-qualification experience with a major law firm in a structured finance team.
- Experience in working within an international team is a plus.
- Prior in-house experience is of interest, although not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
