About the Role
The Investment Banking Coverage & Advisory division is looking to add an Associate to the Natural Resources Group (NRG) team. This role involves providing a full range of investment banking services, including M&A advice and capital raising, for corporate and institutional clients.
Responsibilities
- Supporting wider teams in the coverage effort of key NRG accounts
- Coordinating and assisting in origination and execution of M&A, Leverage Finance and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions with NRG clients
- Conducting sector and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation, credit analysis and financial modelling
- Communicating with clients, other advisers and senior investment bankers in both origination and execution projects
- Utilizing sector knowledge to guide production of materials presented to clients
- Assisting Country and Product bankers on opportunities relating to the NRG sector
- Helping to develop and mentor the juniors in the team
Requirements
- Relevant Corporate Finance experience across advisory and capital market products
- Proven execution skills, complex deal understanding and structuring capabilities in M&A, Leverage Finance and ECM
- Strong analytical approach combined with creative problem-solving abilities
- High levels of initiative and ingenuity, high pro-activity levels and drive and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
- Able to drive and influence senior, cross-functional and cross-regional deal teams
- Interfacing with multiple business partners across business lines and regions
- Able to communicate well with excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in teams
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
