About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to be the technical anchor of Encore AI’s sales motion across the United States and Australia/New Zealand (ANZ), based out of our New York offices. You will own the technical win across complex enterprise deal cycles with banks, lenders, insurers, and fintech platforms. This is a pure pre-sales role for a senior practitioner who thrives on translating customer problems into compelling, defensible solutions and converting technical credibility into closed revenue.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical product demonstrations and solution presentations to both C-level and technical stakeholders, largely via video calls across US and ANZ time zones
- Run discovery sessions and solution design workshops to map Encore AI’s capabilities to customer journeys, business cases, and target outcomes
- Own technical objection handling, security and compliance reviews, and RFP/RFI responses across enterprise deal cycles
- Develop and maintain tailored demo environments, solution narratives, and reference architectures for US and ANZ financial services use cases
- Build competitive differentiation narratives against incumbents and emerging AI players in the US and ANZ markets
- Partner with sales leadership to drive technical win rates, deal velocity, and forecast accuracy across complex enterprise opportunities
- Translate customer requirements into clear scopes, integration patterns, and commercial constructs that align with Encore AI’s product roadmap
- Provide structured feedback to product and engineering on customer requirements, market trends, and competitive gaps
- Lead technical handover to the post-sales implementation team to ensure a seamless transition from signature to go-live
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions consulting, or pre-sales within enterprise B2B SaaS
- Proven background in regulated Financial Services (banking, insurance, lending, payments, or fintech) is required
- Strong technical fluency with conversational AI, LLM-based agents, and prompt engineering in an enterprise context
- Hands-on understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and enterprise integration patterns (identity, event-driven architectures, secure data exchange)
- Proven ability to run enterprise sales cycles and influence both technical and business buyers from analyst to C-level
- Strong commercial instincts, with experience shaping deals, scoping commercial constructs, and driving technical close
- Excellent presentation, storytelling, and written communication skills
- Deep knowledge of the US and ANZ financial services markets, regulatory environments, and buyer landscapes preferred
- Comfortable managing a high volume of virtual, cross-time-zone client engagements (video calls, remote demos, async collaboration) in lieu of frequent in-person travel
- Experience operating in high-growth, early-stage, or zero-to-one environments
- Executive presence and comfort engaging senior stakeholders up to C-level
