About the Role

The Senior Pricing Associate will be responsible for end-to-end pricing for Bulk Purchase Annuities (BPAs) and other de-risking solutions within the Corporate Pension Solutions (CPS) division. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams and external partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, balance sheet management, and structuring workstreams into pricing projects. The successful candidate will provide technical analysis, strategy, and business planning support to senior stakeholders, assist with client deliverables, and develop new modeling capabilities. This is a key role in pricing projects and the development of novel transaction structures and product lines.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end pricing for BPAs and other de-risking solutions
  • Integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, balance sheet management, and structuring workstreams into pricing projects
  • Provide technical analysis, strategy, and business planning support to senior stakeholders
  • Assist distribution and transaction management colleagues with client deliverables and relationship management
  • Develop new and enhanced modeling capability, including tech solutions
  • Support pricing development of novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines
  • Partner with Treasury and Investment Office, Finance Strategy & Finance Reporting teams on pricing projects

Requirements

  • Commercially minded nearly or recently qualified Actuary with exceptional technical skills
  • Experience of bulk annuity pricing, funded reinsurance, longevity reinsurance, life insurance balance sheet management or modelling UK DB Pensions required
  • Understanding of Solvency II/UK for life insurance, in particular balance sheet construction, liability discounting, asset strategy & ALM valuable
  • Experience of developing/structuring and pricing institutional insurance products valuable
  • Understanding of non-standard capital and reinsurance structures valuable
  • Ambitious and self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative/prioritise workload to strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
