About the Role

Kite Cell Therapy Business Unit is seeking a Sales (Associate Director) to lead a sales region. This role involves understanding customer needs, promoting appropriate use of CAR T products, and leading a team of Cell Therapy Account Managers to achieve sales targets. The position requires strategic planning, resource allocation, and fostering a motivated work environment. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and people management are key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Promote appropriate use of CAR T products by understanding customer needs within the assigned region.
  • Lead a team of Cell Therapy Account Managers to achieve sales targets.
  • Allocate resources and optimize activities for the sales team.
  • Establish and strengthen the competitive advantage of the sales team.
  • Develop strategies and tactics based on regional opportunities and challenges.
  • Create and maintain a positive and motivating work environment.
  • Strengthen product strategy execution.
  • Proactively communicate with internal stakeholders, organize issues, and lead consensus building.
  • Manage human resources and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Promote appropriate sales activities in accordance with internal and external regulations and rules.
  • Plan and lead the execution of area sales strategies and tactics based on product strategy, in collaboration with the Kite Sales Director and business unit members.
  • Plan sales activities targeting facilities and customers, considering cost efficiency, to achieve the sales plan targets for the assigned team.
  • Analyze activity data during strategy and tactic execution, monitor trends, and guide the activities of the team and CTAMs for optimal customer engagement.
  • Identify and share best practices as a central figure in the assigned region or department.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and medical professionals.
  • Lead cross-departmental collaboration with sound judgment, integrity, and fair management knowledge and skills.
  • Provide high-quality coaching to maximize the capabilities of team members through daily coaching, with a focus on talent development for building an excellent organization.
  • Develop team members' abilities with a customer-centric approach, understanding the disease and enhancing knowledge of company products.

Requirements

  • Possess a management mindset, understand the overall business, and have the ability to make appropriate decisions based on that understanding to achieve business results.
  • Possess Learning Agility and the potential to demonstrate leadership as a future Sales Director or Business Unit Director.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma and knowledge/experience in project management are desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales or commercial operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business is desirable.
  • Business-level English skills are desirable.
  • People management experience in a sales organization is desirable.
  • Experience in hematologic oncology, hematologic diseases, or solid tumors is desirable, with particular expertise in hematologic oncology diseases and business.
  • Emphasize teamwork and communication, and be able to consistently make constructive proposals and reach agreements.
  • Possess the ability to formulate appropriate area strategies and tactics and manage the team based on excellent sales performance or outstanding expertise in a pharmaceutical company, including technical knowledge, sales skills, numerical analysis, and interpretation.
  • Possess excellent communication and information provision skills with customers, and coaching skills that lead to the improvement of subordinates' abilities.
  • For internal applications, annual performance reviews for the last two years must be Outstanding Year or Strong Year (applicants with any Challenging Year evaluation in either 'What' or 'How' are not eligible).
  • For internal applications, must be Grade 29 or above at the time of application.
