About the Role
As a Principal or Sr Principal of the DTAS Strategic Advisory team, you will work directly with life sciences clients as a trusted partner, helping them navigate complex strategic, technological, and operational challenges. You will shape and deliver high-impact consulting engagements for VP+ stakeholders, building deep client intimacy through insight-driven dialogue, proactive partnership, and consistent delivery excellence. You will be accountable for driving client satisfaction, identifying new opportunities, and achieving or exceeding assigned revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Advisory Services and the broader DTAS ecosystem.
- Leverage internal expertise to design integrated, enterprise-grade solutions that unite strategy, data, and technology.
- Translate major technologies transforming life sciences into meaningful strategic implications for clients.
- Act as a trusted strategic thought partner to VP+ clients, building long-term relationships.
- Own client engagements end-to-end, ensuring satisfaction, quality, and measurable value.
- Identify follow-on opportunities and generate new leads across Advisory Services and the wider DTAS portfolio.
- Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets by developing and delivering high-impact, tailored proposals.
- Maintain proactive post-delivery engagement to reinforce partnership and client intimacy.
- Provide clear strategic direction and high-quality leadership across projects.
- Shape actionable recommendations that address client priorities and industry dynamics.
- Communicate complex insights effectively to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure that deliverables and proposals reflect rigorous thinking, client relevance, and strategic coherence.
- Stay ahead of industry, competitive, and regulatory trends to inform client discussions and shape differentiated advisory propositions.
- Contribute to firm visibility and reputation through thought leadership, client forums, and external engagement.
- Support team development through recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and capability building.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 years’ professional experience in consulting or the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry, with demonstrated career progression.
- Strong commitment to and experience within the life sciences and/or healthcare space.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, developing people, and delivering high-impact client engagements.
- Proven ability to build lasting client relationships grounded in trust, partnership, and mutual value creation.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client locations as needed.
