About the Role

As an Analyst within the Strategic Finance team at PPRO, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial success of our Commercial teams, with a primary focus on our LatAm Proposition (cards) and on supporting the New Business sales team. Working closely with the Strategic Finance Director, you'll help build the analysis, reporting and models that shape commercial decision-making across LatAm cards performance, new business pipeline and deal economics, pricing, and monthly board and forecast processes. This is a highly cross-functional role that suits someone with strong analytical instincts, great attention to detail, and a genuine curiosity about how finance connects to commercial strategy, who is looking to build a career as a strategic finance business partner.

Responsibilities

  • Support the financial tracking and analysis of the LatAm cards proposition, including volumes, revenue, and margin performance by market.
  • Build and maintain models and dashboards that track LatAm cards performance against budget and forecast.
  • Assist in evaluating the financial impact of new LatAm card scheme partnerships, product launches, and market expansions.
  • Prepare regular reporting on LatAm proposition performance for Commercial leadership and the wider Strategic Finance team.
  • Partner with the New Business sales team to track pipeline, deal economics, and win-rate metrics.
  • Support the build of financial models and business cases for new client deals, including pricing and profitability analysis.
  • Help evaluate the financial viability and ROI of new client proposals and go-to-market approaches.
  • Support New Business commission plan tracking, calculations, and reporting.
  • Monitor New Business sales performance against targets and flag risks or opportunities to senior team members.
  • Assist in the financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across models.
  • Support the build and maintenance of budget and forecast models for LatAm cards and New Business.
  • Support the commercial, product, and legal teams with data and analysis to inform pricing strategy, particularly for LatAm cards and new business deals.
  • Help quantify the financial impact of pricing changes, promotions, and discounting proposals.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on pricing performance.
  • Perform monthly revenue and cost of sales reconciliation as part of the month-end close process.
  • Help prepare the monthly board reporting pack, ensuring numbers and narrative are accurate and complete.
  • Support variance analysis and commentary, explaining movements versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Support on commercial risks and opportunities tracker.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in finance, FP&A, business analysis, consulting, or a related field (internships count).
  • Must have experience within banking, payments, or another relevant financial services industry.
  • Curiosity about the payments/fintech industry, cards proposition, and commercial strategy.
  • Portuguese language skills are a plus, given the LatAm focus, but not essential.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a mastery of financial modelling.
  • Proficiency in SQL / Google BigQuery / AI tools to extract and analyse data.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, KPI frameworks, and business performance analytics.
  • Ability to distil ambiguous problems into solutions and present them confidently to senior business leaders.
