About the Role
Support people with disability to have the choice, control, and independence to live their best life. Based in Chifley, you will support individuals who enjoy outdoor activities, public transport, and arts and crafts. This role involves providing personal care and daily living support within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a permanent part-time basis, requiring availability for a 24/7 roster including sleepover shifts.
Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
- Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
- Maintain thorough record keeping
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
- Advocate for client choice and control
- Confident in driving a large van to transport clients
Requirements
- Previous experience working with people with disability or mental health conditions
- Confident in manual handling
- An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Must be able to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check
- Must be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check
