About the Role

Dow Consumer Solutions (DCS) has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Marketing Director – North Asia (Japan & Korea). In this role, you will have responsibility for the DCS marketing function across Japan and Korea, accelerating the region’s growth strategy. You will report to the APAC Marketing Director for Consumer Solutions. You will work cross functionally to deliver P&L targets in all market segments for your geo. In addition, you will lead a team of marketers and develop talent with a focus on marketing best practices, processes, and people.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Marketing function on a regional basis (Japan and Korea) across all market segments, accountable for value growth
  • Accountable for setting regional strategy development, deployment and execution, resourcing and P&L
  • Responsible for accelerating prioritized segments, driving continuous improvement in capabilities, managing the overall innovation and lead pipeline, resource deployment, and identifying segment dependencies and synergies
  • Leads and coordinates Marketing activities, people and resources. In collaboration with other functional and/or business leaders as applicable, maintains, upgrades, decides, deploys, current and new capabilities to enable short, medium and long term sustainable value growth strategies
  • Work closely with and collaborate with regional Commercial VP, Sales Directors, Product Directors, Global Strategic Marketing Directors, and APAC Regional Marketing Directors to drive/achieve business results
  • Drive overall innovation pipeline development in collaboration with local TS&D and R&D to drive efficient use, deployment and focus of resources towards optimal value generation across prioritized market segments
  • People leadership responsibilities include: drive individual development plans within the role and marketing function, marketing acumen improvement, maintain talent pipeline of current and future Marketing leaders across businesses and across functions
  • Support and alignment with global marketing initiatives, priorities, and reporting needs

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in engineering/chemistry, marketing or other business related major, MBA is preferred
  • 5-10 year’s proven experience in B2B marketing
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including people leadership and experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong preference for experience in Silicone related industries
  • Fluency in English
