About the Role

Lead the team building Quantium’s internal platform for developing and delivering production-grade AI agents. The platform provides shared components, templates, infrastructure, and guardrails to accelerate the creation of AI solutions. This role involves strengthening the platform's foundations, enhancing the developer experience, and enabling broader adoption.

Responsibilities

Lead a high-performing engineering team, providing clarity, coaching, and direction.
Guide engineers working across the agent build pipeline, shared foundations, testing, and developer experience.
Advance an emerging platform from early development into a hardened, scalable capability.
Partner with engineering and product leaders to improve the design, engineering, validation, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI agents.
Strengthen the platform and developer experience by guiding the evolution of infrastructure, integrations, workflows, standards, and documentation.
Guide consequential technical decisions, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term platform health and enterprise requirements.
Grow technical leadership within the team by partnering with engineering leads, developing emerging leaders, and creating clear ownership.

Requirements

Strong engineering foundations with the depth to understand complex systems.
Ability to evaluate architectural options and guide senior engineers.
Experience leading strong engineering teams and developing people.
Experience working with cloud platforms, internal developer platforms, developer tooling, or products for technical users.
Practical curiosity in AI engineering, actively using modern AI development tools.
Understanding of how agentic systems and AI-assisted engineering practices fit together.
Ability to balance engineering quality, product direction, delivery urgency, and adoption in ambiguous environments.
Credibility in stakeholder influence, translating technical complexity and navigating trade-offs.
Ability to build confidence with engineers, product leaders, executives, and clients.
Experience as an Engineering Manager or former technical lead who has successfully led a team while remaining technically current.
Experience working on an internal platform, developer tooling, or AI-native product.
Experience operating across engineering, product, and stakeholder boundaries.
Enjoyment in building for technical users and understanding platform adoption at scale.
