About the Role

The Assistant Scheme Design Advisor will support the Integration and Review team with policy and regulatory reform initiatives within the workers compensation scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor project timelines and check quality standards
  • Gather data and investigate policy areas to contribute to informed decision making and policy development
  • Prepare clear briefs and project plans that guide policy decisions
  • Prepare meeting papers, draft letters, and take notes
  • Organise working groups and committees to connect stakeholders and promote collaboration
  • Keep project files and correspondence secure and up to date
  • Find technology solutions to increase daily team efficiency

Requirements

  • Experience developing and analysing government policy, or hold qualifications in political or social science, public policy, or law
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly
  • Thrive in dynamic environments and adapt quickly to change and uncertainty
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively, taking initiative to get things done on time
  • Solve problems by analysing data and using legislation to guide decision
  • Collaborate with your team and share your ideas
  • Take ownership of your work, acting responsibly and in line with official policies, guidelines and law
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen with a current passport, and live in NSW and be able to travel to our Sydney or Gosford office each week or be willing to relocate.
