About the Role
The Account Executive is responsible for achieving sales targets and planning and executing sales activities in their assigned territory. They will manage and respond to customers within the area. This role also involves understanding team talent development and supporting it as needed. The Account Executive will cooperate and actively participate in fostering a culture based on Our Credo throughout the company. They will provide objective and constructive opinions to LT members, Regional Sales Managers, and Area Managers as the area representative. They will also actively participate in company-wide business operations, events, and other activities. For area meetings, they will be involved in preparation and participate with appropriate input. They will actively participate in mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities with sales activities and company-wide activities of other sectors within the J&J Japan Group.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets for the assigned territory and control pricing based on internal guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Continuously gather information on the market, customers, and competitors, share it within and outside the territory, and provide feedback to relevant departments as needed.
- Actively execute sales strategies for new product launches in the assigned territory.
- Support the planning of internal and customer education programs regarding safe and appropriate product use as needed.
- Understand market trends inside and outside the territory and actively execute territory strategies based on product strategy.
- Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, and conduct activities in accordance with internal rules.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to product complaints in accordance with internal rules and in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Participate in talent development within the territory as needed to achieve sustained organizational growth over the medium to long term.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Sales experience in the medical industry (3+ years desirable).
- Experience in the ophthalmology field (1+ year desirable).
- PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Strategic and logical thinking.
- Presentation skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven track record in sales (exceeding targets, awards, etc.).
- Industry knowledge (ophthalmology, laws, HCC guidelines, competitors, etc.).
- A mindset focused on business growth.
