About the Role

ACAP is seeking dedicated sessional Social Work Educators passionate about teaching the next generation of professionals. Opportunities are available at our Perth and Adelaide Campuses.

Responsibilities

• Teaching classes, which are typically three-hour interactive workshops taught in person on campus.
• Marking assignments and performing administrative tasks associated with the classes.
• Responding to student enquiries and providing advice as required.
• Teaching from one of our campuses (Sydney or Melbourne).
• Full-time or part-time for a specific period of 13 weeks per trimester.
• Opportunity to assume the role of Unit Coordinator in exceptional circumstances.

Requirements

• A Social Work qualification.
• Membership or eligibility for membership of the AASW.
• Extensive experience as a practicing Social Worker.
• Experience or a keen interest in working in a tertiary education institution.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships at all levels across the College.
• Excellent scholarly and Social Work industry expertise.
• Passion and motivation to empower students and the next generation of Social Workers.
