About the Role
Make a real difference in cancer patient care by supporting patients diagnosed with Prostate cancer and their survivorship journey. This part-time role involves assisting patients after surgery, supporting recovery and rehabilitation, coordinating patient-centred care, offering educational resources, and providing psychosocial support.
Responsibilities

- Serving as a consistent point of contact to help patients navigate the healthcare system
- Connecting patients with SAH services and external providers
- Collaborating with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Acting as a resource for students and fellow healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Demonstrated advanced level of clinical skills in the care and management of patients with Prostate Cancer, with a focus on surgical care
- A minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in Prostate cancer or oncology
- Proven experience presenting and providing patient education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Well-developed analytical, data collection and problem-solving skills
- Competency in using relevant clinical and administrative IT systems
- Completion of annual mandatory training requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
