About the Role
Red Hat is seeking a Partner Technical Account Manager (TAM) to provide technical support for partners in Japan, focusing on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. As a trusted technical advisor, you will lead the resolution of operational challenges related to OpenShift, collaborate with internal support, development, and product teams to solve complex technical issues, and deliver continuous value. You will also act as a partner advocate, relaying their needs and challenges internally to influence decision-making, and proactively offer technical risk prevention and lifecycle management advice. Additionally, TAMs are expected to share knowledge, support team members, and collaborate with APAC and Global teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Red Hat contact for partner inquiries regarding our products.
- Provide technical support for our products, with assistance from our product support and development teams as needed.
- Provide feedback on product bugs and feature requests to product development teams and the open source community, supporting the delivery of fixes and realization of improvement requests.
- Conduct regular meetings to discuss technical topics, support cases, and share business status (in-person meetings may be required).
- Provide information on critical bugs and workarounds for using our products to promote problem prevention.
- Conduct regular service reviews (approximately quarterly) to mutually evaluate the effectiveness of support provided.
- Collaborate with various Red Hat departments to resolve design and technical education challenges related to the use of our products.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes, with practical experience in design, construction, or operation.
- Over 3 years of practical experience as a support engineer, systems engineer, solutions architect, consultant, or similar role, including technical leadership experience with customers or partners.
- Experience in problem-solving and coordination involving multiple stakeholders.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency (ability to discuss and negotiate with partners, colleagues in the same position, and support teams).
- Business communication skills in English (ability to communicate via email and chat, and in meetings as needed).
