About the Role
Support the Maintenance Manager in leading daily hotel engineering operations. Provide hands-on technical leadership, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of building plant, systems, and guest rooms. Maintain high asset standards and coordinate repairs to protect owner investment and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance shifts, allocating tasks and providing clear handovers.
- Execute preventative maintenance and conduct daily plant rounds to identify risks.
- Perform hands-on repairs to building services, plant, and guest rooms.
- Supervise onsite contractors, ensuring strict adherence to hotel safety protocols.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office to resolve defects swiftly.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on engineering or maintenance experience within a hotel or commercial property environment.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills across HVAC, mechanical plant, plumbing, and general building assets.
- Demonstrated shift leadership ability, including coordinating contractors and delegating work effectively on duty.
- Excellent communication skills, a professional presentation, and a genuine commitment to guest service.
