About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer passionate about cloud technology, automation, and AI-enabled platforms. This role offers an opportunity for a mid-level engineer with Azure fundamentals to help customers build, operate, and improve modern cloud environments while developing expertise in AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support Azure cloud environments that are secure, scalable, and operationally efficient.
- Automate cloud platform provisioning, configuration, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and modern automation tools.
- Support cloud transformation, migration, and modernization initiatives for customers.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud platform issues while maintaining high levels of customer service and operational excellence.
- Develop and improve automation capabilities across cloud operations and platform delivery.
- Build and maintain cloud platform documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and customer stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
- Contribute to Azure governance, security, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Support the adoption of AI-ready cloud platforms and assist with the deployment of AI-related services and capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in cloud engineering, cloud operations, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud operating environments.
- Experience deploying, managing, and supporting cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and security services.
- Strong automation mindset with experience using Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation practices.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices, DevOps methodologies, and cloud-native ways of working.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and operational best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, technical teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within managed services, consulting, or customer-facing technology environments.
- Foundational knowledge of AI services and modern AI concepts.
- Understanding of enterprise AI technologies such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, or equivalent platforms.
- Awareness of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), large language models, and AI-driven automation concepts.
- Understanding of responsible AI principles, security, and governance considerations.
- Interest in developing deeper expertise in AI platform engineering, agentic workflows, and AI-enabled cloud services.
