About the Role
W Sydney is hiring an Apprentice Chef to join their bold and vibrant kitchen team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn, create, and grow in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment, reporting to the Executive Chef.
Responsibilities
- Working alongside experienced chefs across hotel kitchens and venues
- Learning essential culinary skills, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations
- Assisting with service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation
- Contributing to a creative, supportive, and energetic team environment
Requirements
- A genuine passion for food and the hospitality industry
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop new skills
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Eligibility to undertake a Commercial Cookery apprenticeship in Australia
- No previous kitchen experience required—just enthusiasm and commitment
