About the Role
As a Data Scientist on our Data team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the Claims department into a truly data-driven function. You will develop and implement practical AI code and solutions for various business use cases, support machine learning model development, testing, evaluation, and deployment, and analyze structured and unstructured data using Python and data science libraries.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of practical AI code/solutions for each business use case.
- Assist in the development, testing, evaluation, and deployment activities of machine learning models.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data using Python and associated data science libraries.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and generate insights to support decision-making.
- Support AI governance for the safe and sustainable deployment of AI models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business teams, and project managers, leveraging documentation skills.
- Continuously learn about emerging AI and Generative AI technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or Computer Science.
- Participate in projects utilizing AI/Generative AI solutions.
- Possess 3 to 7 years of experience in developing machine learning models.
- Demonstrate excellent Python programming skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret business requirements.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of Generative AI concepts such as RAG, LLM, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
- Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Possess a business-oriented mindset with strong logical thinking skills.
- Accurate documentation skills with attention to detail.
