About the Role
At Microsoft AI's Health team, we are building and serving medical superintelligence at global scale, ensuring our models and services are useful, trusted, and safe across diverse health journeys. We are seeking a hands-on, product-focused clinician to join our engineering-heavy cross-functional team and contribute to the next generation of systems that will transform the field.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to prompting, prototyping, building agents, scripting, and data analysis.
- Define evaluation strategies and create tests, datasets, and LLM scorers to ensure system safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with and bridge the gap between clinicians, researchers, product, designers, engineering, and partnership teams.
- Contribute to safety, ethics, and privacy policies, identifying gaps in tools, technologies, and methods to ensure overall rigor.
- Contribute to the clinical direction of team efforts, applying clinician's judgment to product development priorities.
Requirements
- Medical Degree with more than 2 years of associated postgraduate clinical experience.
- Experience working in the health AI space (academic or industry), including developing, evaluating, and deploying health AI products.
- Hands-on AI engineering experience.
- A track record of owning initiatives end-to-end (e.g., founding or leading a project, company, charity, PhD, or extensive startup experience).
- Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty, with the ability to work autonomously at high speed in a rapidly changing environment.
- Pragmatism regarding shipping criteria.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality written and presentation materials with excellent attention to detail.
