Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, treatment, and monitoring of cardiopulmonary disease across the continuum of care.
  • Function as part of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and provide continuity of care in a financially responsible manner.
  • Quickly and accurately assess a patient's condition.
  • Communicate effectively to the care team about changes in patient's condition, results of diagnostic studies, symptomatology, and response to treatment.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required before first day of employment.
  • Current Minnesota Respiratory Therapist License (LRT) required before first day of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to function with initiative and independent judgment; desire for continuous quality improvement.
